How to Leak Down a Barrel Valve on Mechanical Fuel Injection

This short video will assist you in either setting up a barrel valve initially or after a service was necessary.
Leakdown Testers

 

  1. Adjust Butterflies Air Gap
  2. Block Off all Injector Lines & Returns except for Hat Nozzles
  3. Connect Input of Leakdown Tester to Outlet of Compressor
    (Do not connect anything to OUTPUT of Tester yet)
  4. Set Regulator to read 0 on 2nd Gauge of Dual Tester or,
    Set Regulator to read 0 on Single Gauge
  5. Connect Tester to Inlet of Barrel Valve
  6. Read % Leakage on 2nd Gauge (or Single Gauge)
  7. Adjust Linkage Turnbuckle on Barrel Valve for Desired Leakage
