This 4in filter assembly is for dry sump systems and fluid systems using #16 feed lines. These filters have #16 threaded inlet and outlet ports. For use between the dry sump oil pump and the dry sump tank. Having a see through filter before the dry sump tank allows only filtered oil into the tank, which will keep the tank clean and prevent contaminants from going through the pressure side of the dry sump pump. This is also the best place to install a see through filter when the dry sump tank has a flat bottom. Because the particles and contaminants that go into a flat bottom dry sump tank sometimes will settle to the bottom and not be sucked out of the tank and into the filter showing there is a problem in the engine.

This filter uses #16 O-Ring Boss fittings and has 2 inlets and 1 outlet opening.
